Onslow Beach Surf Fishing Sept 21-23
Hit Onslow Beach on Cp Lejuene on Tuesday afternoon for a few days of surf fishing. The water was still a little rough but we managed a few fish for the couple of days. We used 5 ounce weights and they still washed down the beach, so you can tell it was a tad rough.

Blue fish are always ready to hit most any baits ..both day and night.



We hit the beach both day and night....what a way to fish...under the full moon on the beach.


We caught tons of these type spots...


Even the sharks got into the action...


We didn't catch oddles of fish but we had time to check out some new areas and found some new water to fish. We had pompano, sea mullet, blues, shark and tons of pinfish, oh yea 1 flounder...short.

Had a great time Bobby, ready to do it again...

Thanks for the report Scott. Looked like it was a good time, and some fish is always better than no fish . Looking forward to seeing you at Ft Fisher.

Cool report!! What a great way to enjoy fishing and being outside.

Yea...Bobby got a chance to launch some of those long distance cast from the surf. Those 13 foot rods can definately sling a weight a great distance. I stuck to the 10 footers and cast as far as I wanted to wind back.
