I tried them two Fridays ago and did ok with a new fisherman. We trolled up and down the beach to Johny Mercer's pier and back and then headed offshore. We were using birds and planers. The #0 size Clark spoons worked the best at 5-6 knots based on your boat. . We caught two nice alantic sharpnose and some good bottom fish at AR 376. It is always a hotspot if you can make it there right at 10 miles out from Masonboro inlet rocks. We caught a few close throw back black. On the way back in we caught a few more nice Spanish. Too bad the sea had got the best of the new fisherman but he did well for his first trip. Water was a little to ruff for a one man trolling operation. Two or three good fishermen could have limited out easily with gotcha plugs or trolling. Now is the time to get the large Spanish fishing live mullet slow trolling or trolling crystal minnows. 4-6 knots. Video is sort out all directions. forgive the new camera man. Cell phones can be a little confusing
