Boundary Line 4-1
Went out around 6 pm today. Wanted to see how my insulation foam flies I've been tying would look in the water. Switched over to some other little flies I've been trying. All of a sudden I see fish start busting topwater. I grab the pole I always have a popper tied on and walked to the area I saw action. 2 casts in and it gets slammed. Surprisingly it's a crappie! Few more casts and there are 2 small bass and 3 missed swirls. Nice evening of fishing. Will post pics soon.

Thanks Ed. Was really surprised to find a crappie in an intensively managed lake. And the fact that it hit the popper like a big old bass. lol

Re: Boundary Line 4-1
I pulled a crappie out of McKellars a few weeks ago. Had a catfish bait out on a carolina rig on one rod and was trying to find a bream to hack up and use as cut bait. Ended up with a crappie and was so surprised to see it I tossed it back.
