Anyone ever fish for Carp around the area? I don't know why but I have been wanting to hook into some Carp lately. Any bodies of water beside the river that holds common, grass or mirrors?

You can find them below Buckhorn dam and Jordan has some, as well. If you made the Kayak Fishing Workshop; Mark Patterson gave a pretty interesting talk about catching carp.

From looking at the Google map, it seems you either are stuck to the bank or yakin only. I didn't notice a boat launch. It also looks not very boat friendly.

Lake Upchurch has carp. I haven't carp-fished in over a year but, I know they're in there. I'll bet that they're getting some size to them too! The sad thing is that unless you know someone that lives on the lake, you'll have to go to Waldo's Beach and pay $10. It could be worse though.
