Things at Jordan Lake are beginning to change over and it won't be long before the crappie are in full spawn. I spent Friday and Saturday having a great time with friends from the Fayetteville Anglers slow trolling minnows along for my favorite little speckled fish. The water temps in the main lake continue to hover around 55 degrees, but we temp in the back of the creeks to be 58 rising to 60 by the end of the day. The fish still seem to be scattered but water depth's of 8 -10 ft seemed to produce best while baits are suspended at around 6ft. Both days we brought home a dozen or so keeper which most were a very respectable 11 inches or more , with several fish that would go 12 inches. Shallow water should only get better from this point. A very busy Saturday at the boat, so it pays to plan ahead.
