Bass On the Fly
Here is a good article on Fly Fishing For Bass. It is time to start they are biting at Jordan and should also be heating up on Harris.

Greetings,
Just moved here and kayaked Jordan a couple of weeks ago..what patterns are good out there and are there particular spots you guys could recommend? I'd appreciate any nudge in the right direction..

Welcome aboard, glad to see new members and kayakers, I haven.t made it up to Jordan yet this year for Bass, but you should look in the usual places , ie cover off on points , shallows next to deeper water , If you put in at the Ebeneezer Church ramp and go back under the bridge you will see standing timber, you might try frog patterns in the am and evening. Mid day they will be deeper. Also try sub-surface flies in the creeks that have a deeper draft. well good luck and stay safe , the power boaters don't always see yakkers, so stay alert.

Only at the Pechmann Center. I just haven't had a chance to get out yet. Going to Ft Fisher Thursday and set up camp. Eric and maybe Sharon (if she gets Friday off),and I are going to try to get out side and fish Yaupon Reef and Horseshoe area Friday. Then Saturday is the Kayak M&G. We are fishing until lunch then head to the other side of the dunes and surf fish and maybe try practicing surf entry and exits, basically play in the surf with the yaks. Going to have a boil Sat pm with Adult beverages. Then come back Sunday. You are welcome to come down and camp with us , and help eat all the food we boil up. It should be fun.
