Cumberland County Representative Rick Glazier has cosponsored H353 (Designation of Coastal Gamefish) which was filed this morning. The bill seeks to establish North Carolina's stocks of striped bass, spotted sea trout, and redfish as gamefish, which will prohibit the taking of these fish to hook & line fishing. In addition, commercial fishermen will be compensated for their losses due to the designation.
