New Fly-tying Courses beginning in August

The Pechmann Fishing Education Center will begin hosting a new series of monthly Fly-tying workshops beginning with the first workshop on Tuesday, August 20^th, 2013 at 7:00pm which will cover the popular dry fly patterns; the Elk Hair Caddis and Stimulator.  Subsequent workshops will take place on the third Tuesday on each month at 7:00pm with a different group of fly patterns to be tied, each month.  These workshops are designed and organized to build upon the skills learned in our Basic fly-tying courses, introduce new tying skills, and provide an opportunity to interact with and learn from other fly-tiers.

We would like to encourage tiers to bring and use their own equipment and to begin filling their own fly-tying stores. Therefore, we will provide participants with a list of needed materials upon registration.  However, materials and tools will be provided on request.  Space and resources may be limited and we encourage tiers to preregister by contacting Tom Carpenter at 910-868-5003 ext .15 or by email at Thomas.carpenter@ncwildlife.org
