Beginning Rod Building Class Empty Rod Building? Count Me In

Post  Mike Davis Tue Aug 31, 2010 11:43 pm

Sounds like a great idea. Hope I'll be in time for signing up.

Such an opportunity, especially with everything being provided at no cost to the builders...who get to keep their rods.

To whom do we owe our appreciation and how might we pass along our thanks for the consideration?

Thanks to everyone who attended the first rod building class. We ended up taking 12 participants into the class and all of the rods turned out great. I had a great time teaching this course, as much as everyone else seemed to enjoy particpating. I'm already looking forward to the next class.

Thanks Tom that was a really great class, looking forward to picking my rod up this afternoon. I really enjoyed making the rod and I am looking toward building a wrapper and building a few more rods. Laughing

Beginning Rod Building Class Empty More than I'd expected...

Post  Mike Davis Sat Nov 20, 2010 6:36 pm

More fun, more to learn, more new friends, more pleased with the way the rod turned out.

Great class. Thank you Tom Carpenter, for teaching the class, and appreciation for the NCWRC's John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center, for hosting the class and providing all of the supplies, tools, equipment and materials needed to make the rods.

If an Advanced Rod Building class is in the offing, I'd sure like to be counted in.
