4th Annual Lake Rim Clean-up in the Bag

This was probably our largest turn-out for a clean-up to date with for than 40 people in attendance. I want to thank Art Ingalls and Ed Mathis for helping get the word out and for coordinating all of the volunteers. Groups in attendance include:

With all the folks that we had, the clean-up went very quickly and it was great to see so many different people with different interest come together for the common good. Special thanks to our FAAN Kayakers who had the most difficult job and the least amount of help. Hopefully, we will be able to recruit a larger number of kayakers for the next event. Thank you all, a job well done.

Had an idea, what would be the interest in us doing this at one of our other lakes in the area? Many of our public areas are just being trashed by people who just don't give a darn.

It's a great idea, Coach and I would offer to help where I can. You're right that are too many people who just don't give a darn. It upsets me that we must be compelled to be responsible for this subculture that have no responsibilty. However, I am proud that so many attended on Saturday to come out and do the hard right thing!!! A couple of the ladies identified the ridiculous irony of collecting bags of trash from within feet of the sign that states that there is a $250 for littering.
