Grandpa's old Jon boat
As a number of y'all know last year I began fixing up the little Jon that my grandfather sparked my love for fishing. The boat had been laying in the yard for almost 20 years. This is what she started out looking like and the step by step progression. This was my first try at anything like this and there are things I would do differently if I was to do it again. If anyone wants to ask me a question please feel free.

After cleaning her all up and sanding her down I treated the seam with the stop leak stuff. Also fixed some holes in the seat also.

Replaced the transom. Put a cutting board to hold the motor on front and back.
I've lost a few photos to show the in between stages. Here the inside of the boat is getting the Rustoleum self etching primer.
At this point I started loving the green color of the primer. So I decided that I would go with that type of color for the boat's finished color.

And now we are getting onto the finished products. I used the Rustoleum Camo paints. But I only used the green and the tan. I also used Rustoleum bed liner on the bottom. Before sanding and painting I had treated all the rivets with 3M 5200.
I was only laying out the seats at this time. But it shows the rails I installed and the color of the inside of the boat.
First time out and first fish in the boat since '94. The rails were not working properly and we both were sitting on the same side and that is why we are leaning. lol
The last is sunset at Rhodes Pond.

Thanks Ed. Took longer and more work then I thought it would. We'll hit Rhodes up. Maybe over spring break.
