Shearon Harris Cross Point Landing BAA Renovation.

For anyone planning to fish Shearon Harris, this spring, your travel time will be a bit longer. The NCWRC will close the Cross Point Landing Boating Access Area (known to many of us as Merry Oaks) beginning January 22nd for renovations and is planned to reopen on April 30th. Though, I have not verified the details of the improvements, rumor has it that the ramps are to be expanded to include 4 launch and recovery lanes, floating docks, a T-dock, paving of the parking lot and a possible fishing pier. The Holleman BAA, on the east side of the lake, will remain open. Kudos to the NCWRC for these much needed improvements.

Thanks for the info tom. i dont think i have ever used that boat ramp that is going to be opened. Does anyone have the directions to the ramp or an address i could put into my GPS?
