Smith River Fishing Trip June 29th- July 1st

Join the Fayetteville Anglers’ Network for canoeing, kayaking, and wade fishing on Virginia’s premier brown trout stream, the Smith River. Fed by Philpot Lake, the Smith river offers a great summertime trout fishing opportunity.
Fellow FAAN member, Al Kittredge is once again graciously making his cabin in Fieldale Va the base of operations for our FAAN Smith River fishing trip. There is a limited number beds, however we can pitch tents on the lawn for any overflow anglers. Also, there is a local motel with very reasonable rates if anyone wants to share a room for couple of days. The weather is sure to be warm, but the river is cool and the trout are usually very cooperative. The trip is planned for June 29th until July 1st.

I am looking forward to this trip this year. Really had a good time on the first one. Hope my SUV is back on the road well before then but I am willing to kick in for gas for a ride with someone with a little better MPG.

I go up there once or twice a month anyways. I would also give rideshares from Fayetteville for the FAAN members.

As of right now i am going to be home during this time period. I plan on taking some leave and going on this trip. I am going to be staying in a hotel in town. I am hoping i dont have to travel for work this summer but my schedule can change at anytime. Eddie you can ride up there with me if you want!

im gonna give it a try and maybe the wife will let me off for a few days lol for some man time hahaha or maybe if i can find a babysitter for the days we will be maybe she can go and we can get us some hubby wife time in with out the kiddos thanks again guys yall are a great group of guys and gals
