First that I have ever heard of Richmond Mill Lake, but a quick search shows that it is a bit west of Wagram near Laurel Hill. The size of these Bluegills would definitely make it worth the trip.

I have driven by the lake many times on the way to Monroe when Sharon was taking call out there. They tore the mill down not too log ago. Never realized the lake was that size, and no idea the Blue Gill were that size Shocked . I definitively think it is worth a trip over there. It is not that far to go from Fayetteville.

Here is the Google map looks like a nice lake , haven't found a access point yet but if anyone is willing we could go scout it out.

Richmond Mill Lake

Well I would be willing to let you pay 400.00 for use to fish there but 600.00 is too much.Laughing

However, there is good fishing at Blewett Falls Lake up above Rockingham.

You know the bream are big when you have to use a landing net on em. Those dudes are bigger than most of the bass I've caught.

I finally sat down to catch up on some of my DVRed TV shows and low and behold last week's episode of Carolina Outdoor Journal was fishing at Richmond Mill Lake. They were fishing with fly rods and catching some 2 pound bluegill. Looked like a lot of fun, if you can overcome the price.
