Moving to Sanford area
Hey all,
Ill be moving with my mom to Sanford at the start of August. I come from Portage Lakes, Ohio and have been fishing my whole life. In Ohio we have OhioGameFishing Forum which has been a good source to meet fellow outdoorsmen like myself. Ive been googling lakes and rivers in the area but would love to hear some local perspective. I also hope to get into some inshore action(ive heard i may never go back to freshwater haha Thanks!

Re: Moving to Sanford area
Welcome aboard! You're sure gonna miss the lake effect snow in Sanford and fishing will be a bit different. Fortunately, you will be close to two of our best Largemouth lakes (Jordan and Shearon Harris) and the striper and crappie fishing at Jordan can be very good. Also, saltwater is just about 3 hours east and trout streams can be found to in the west in just about the same amount of driving time. Plenty to do be sure to catch up with us once you arrive we'll be sure to point you in the right direction.

Welcome aboard!
Like Backlash said, you are just around the corner from some great freshwater fishing, and the salt water fishing is even better!
