Native Species
For the past few months, I've been working to establish an aquarium that is totally comprised of fish that are native species of North Carolina. To date I have kept Black Banded Sunfish and Blue Spot Sunfish, which are pictured and grass shrimp and a species of darter. It's been an interesting hobby , so far and quite relaxing. I'm watching alot less TV these days, as my leisure time is taken up with reading and watching my fish. Next on the collection list are gambusia, more darters, and the Carolina mud minnow. Amazing the number of fish species living in local waters that I never knew a thing about until recently.

Re: Native Species
These fish are commonly available within the aquarium market. Lots of them are traded on the internet. WOW! This just reminded how much my plants have grown.
