Computerized Fishing Rod

Here's something that all of the Tech junkies will take great interest in. Smartrod is a computerized rod that alerts the angler with both audible and flashing alarms, to even the light taps. Computers are bound to make their way even further into our tackle and it might be that this is just the first of these such innovations that we see in our rods and reels. Do you see any way that is product can benefit you in your fishing? What wold you expect to pay for an item like this?

I think it's just a glorified bell for your fishing pole. Looks a lot like the Hawg Seeker from Zebco. Not sure what good it would do me as I don't tight line fish much. Don't see how this would catch on but some said the same about fish finders.
