License fee increase headed our way

License fee increase headed our way
House Bill 954 was introduced in April which increases fees collected on hunting and fishing licenses. The annual Sportsman's license is slated to increase from $40 to $50. Additionally, the annual CRFL will increase from $15 to $20. It appears that the majority of fees are increasing by a 25% margin. This is not surprising given that fees have not increased since the late 80s and legislature's efforts to cut the Wildlife Commission's by as much as 49%.

Re: License fee increase headed our way
I'm due for a new license. I may need to bite the bullet on the lifetime one before it goes up.

NC Licence fees are some of the cheapest on the east coast so not susprised to see this. I have not seen the details but was told today the trout stamp will go away, in other words the basic fishing license will cover all types of fresh water fishing including trout fishing.
