I think it's really cool. I must say that altough, I have kinda made fun of the Spey rodders in the past that I am becoming more and more interested in the spey casting techniques. If you'll notice that spey casting techniques are creeping into traditional fly casting. For example look at the improved roll cast that is becoming more and more popular. The technique allows for casting in tight quarters but also produces longer casts and disturbs the water much less. You can see the caster performing this technique flawlessly in this video. Really, really cool to watch.
