Ft Fisher Oct 18-25

Bobby Parker and I had a few extra days of chasing fish in Cape Fear Country. We hit dozens of old spots and found a few new ones. Here are some of the fish that decided to pay us a visit.

First up on a Mirro Lure was a Turtle..


Tuesday was a surf fishing day since the winds blew pretty hard on the river that Monday afternoon. We ended the day with about 6 blues (2-3 pounds each), 2 short flounder, 6 small pompano and 1 small sea mullet.



Wednesday back on the river and chasing shallow water reds..Bobby did end up with a nice fat 23 incher that had fillets cut and homeward bound (no pic???).




We hit some other areas and came up with some speckled trout, 1 keeper and couple of short rounds.



Last day we hit one of our new areas and ended up with this....can't keep em any size..none...on the Cape Fear River.....23 inches.


We had a blast fishing and chatting with FAAN members. Already thinking of how fishing is going to be next year...

scott and bob it looks like you gus had a blast out on the water for the fall fishing trip! I really wish i could have made this trip! thanks for posting up all of the great pics. See you guys soon.
