Storm Damage from the weekend!!
I am aware of a couple of members who have been impacted by this past weekend's tornadoes and severe weather. If you know of anyone who needs help in the recovery process or need help yourself , please let us know here at on this thread. I have Friday off, and though I'm not much help with a hammer and nails , I can certainly help pick up yard debris. Please, let us know how you're doing and how we can help.
Re: Storm Damage from the weekend!!

I live off of N. Reilly and was one of the lucky ones. Anyone else in the area that needs help, I have couple of bow saws, a pickup and can make room for storage. We just got power back yesterday and internet today, so if anyone knows of someone that lives over this way please let them know that we are willing to help(not every part of the neighborhood has power back).

Re: Storm Damage from the weekend!!
Eric,
We're glad that you and family are alright. Al K lives up your way. I understand that he has some damage to his house, but mostly sounds like some trees down in the yard and waiting for power to come back and insurance adjusters to arrive. Others in that area had their homes completely destroyed.

Like the others, I'm more than willing to offer a hand as needed. Though the only thing I can really offer is my truck and some good ol' fashioned manual labor, but only on weekends or after work hours.

Re: Storm Damage from the weekend!!
HI guys - I am back Just got phone, cable and INTERNET today. Lights came on two days ago.
It has been a week to remember and hopefully never repeat. Bottom line is we are uninjured and things are moving along with repairs. My guess, based on some estimates received already, is this will spoil looks of $50,000 bill - maybe more. Still not sure what insurance will cover but the repairs have to be made anyway so I am getting it done. Not complaining, we were lucky. Houses one street over literally exploded.
Thanks for all the prayers. PM's, telephone calls and expressions of concern. It is pretty humbling to go through this and see the outpouring of efforts from friends and total strangers. Maybe the world is not as bad off as I thought. (However I did note that Mr. O went on a 3 day fund raiser instead of visit NC or others states hit by last weekends weather - sorry I had to throw that in )
As soon as I get more "fires" put out and have some time I will write up a summary of what happened and post some pictures. Lots of stories to tell and lessons learned to share.
Thank you again for thinking about us. We are not back to normal but we are getting there.
