Wildlife Commission to Begin Repairing Rhodes Pond Dam
Agency Plans to Have Cumberland County Pond Refilled by September 2015
GODWIN, N.C. (Oct. 9, 2014) — This time next year, the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission plans to see the public once again enjoying Rhodes Pond, a 461-acre lake in Cumberland County. The agency currently is working with a consulting firm to develop a design that will repair the dam so that it meets new dam safety requirements. Read more

Great news. Might take a few years for it to come all the way back though.

With the river flowing through it and hopefully they will stock it, it shouldn't be long. Usually about year three it is the best. Just have to hope they put a catch and release only the first couple of years to build stock and size.
