Hay all I am the TIG-Master. I just got back into fishing after 6 years. I am from Fla where i was deeply into fishing and scuba diving, spear fishing and free diving. i just received a Kayak for this past Fathers day and I am hooked. I am looking for info on lakes in the area and also other locations.. I have attached an aluminum Kayak trailer I made in my shop..

Welcome to the fishing hole! Very nice trailer! And there are a lot of great places to fish in your yak around here! Some of us on here are also enjoy yak fishing! We enjoy fishing on bragg lakes, the cape fear river, lake upchurch, and we travel some to fish salt water. Let me know if you have any question!

Thank you for the welcome. I could use some help with locations within the area for yak fishing also were could I go for salt water. i am not looking on going out but would like info on fishing some inlets or flats. thank you. Also which lakes on Bragg would be best i just got my Permit..

I always liked Mott Lake, Smith Lake and McArthur lake for some good fishing. Its been 20 years, dern time flies, since I retired from Bragg and use to fish all the ponds there.

I went to MacArthur last Saturday evening. The only fish I pulled in was back in the coves under the tree overhangs. I want to head back there and hit the weeds with a frog. I'm out of town this weekend but next weekend I'm gonna hit mackall or macarthur. If I could have a do over I would have hit the north half instead of the south. There used to be some big bass in there 5 years ago. I'm not convinced they're all gone.
